What type of venue is Tranquility Farm?
Tranquility Farm is a luxury events farm with two homes available for accommodations. The property includes stunning outdoor and indoor event spaces, and is located just across the street from its sister property, Otium Cellars. Located in Virginia’s wine country just outside the charming town of Purcellville, the farm is 30 minutes west of Dulles Airport and an hour from Washington, D.C., making it very easily accessible.

Does Tranquility offer wedding packages?
Yes! We offer 3 distinct packages for our couples to select from. Our most popular offering is our "Farmland" package which includes 48 hour private access to the property and accommodations for up to 16 guests. We also offer single day packages with the ability to add on additional amenities. You can find more information on our weddings page. 

How many hours will I have for my wedding?
We offer a 6 hour, 8 hour, and 48 hour rental package. No matter which package you choose, the property will be yours to celebrate in privacy, as we only host one event at a time.

What Accommodations are available on the property?
We offer luxury accommodations in the Manor and Vineyard Cottage and have an additional luxury home, the Gruner Bungalow, across the road at our sister property Otium Cellars. You can explore the properties on our "Book a Stay" page.

Where are the nearest Hotels or other Lodging?
While Purcellville does not have a hotel, we recommend nearby B&B’s and AirBnB. Hotels are located about 20 minutes away in Leesburg, Ashburn, and Middleburg. Visit Loudoun offers a free service to help you find lodging at 25 properties. Please visit visitloudoun.org

How many guests can you accommodate for the Reception?
Our Antique Barn is perfect for gatherings of 25 to 120 guests. The barn is climate-controlled and has powder rooms, as well as a catering prep kitchen. If you would like to host a larger event (and we do this often) a tent rental is required. ***We do not provide tents*** and this will need to be contracted through your vendor team. Restroom trailers are also required as there are no restrooms at the tent pad.

Can I have my Ceremony at Tranquility Farm?
Yes, you have multiple outdoor spaces to choose from for your ceremony, as well as Plan B options for inclement weather.

Do you have indoor spaces for a Ceremony in case of rain?
For up to 120 guests, we offer the Stable with antique stone walls. 

What Event Spaces are available for Rehearsal Dinner and Brunch?
The Manor features a lovely outdoor Terrace and Courtyard, both of which are ideal for gatherings of 25 and up to 120, and the party can be brought inside in case of inclement weather. The Stable in the lower level of the barn also seats 60 guests. The Silo Lounge outdoor area is perfect for a Food Truck for up to 120 guests, and a unique space for the cocktail bar is inside the Silo, the tallest in Loudoun County. You can also consider hosting a rehearsal or welcome party at Otium Cellars, which is our winery located just across the road. 

Do you have locations for pictures?
Yes! Tranquility Farm is a beautiful 23-acre property with gardens, fields, views, frontage along Goose Creek, and historic stone buildings such as the Spring House with its mossy wall, a unique backdrop for pictures. Please see our Real Weddings gallery for the many possibilities.

Do you have Tables & Chairs?
Yes, we offer beautiful farm tables and antique chairs for use in the Antique Barn, at no additional fee. For the Tented Reception, tables and chairs must be rented through our tent vendor or your caterer.

Do you have an area for the bridal party to change?
Our weekend package includes access to all of the homes on the property which provides numerous options for getting ready. Our day packages allow you to add-on one of our homes for changing, or we do have a small lounge in the barn that is included with all packages. 

Do you require a Wedding Planner?
We require a month-of coordinator to ensure your day runs smoothly. We always recommend partial or full planning, but that is entirely up to you. Planners must be professional and either on our preferred planners list or approved by us.

Can I bring my dog? 
Well behaved non-destructive dogs that belong to the couple or their immediate family are permitted for the festivities. Pets should be up-to-date on all shots and county requirements and are the responsibility of their owner at all times. Service dogs are also permitted.

May I use my own Caterer?
We have a wonderful selection of caterers, from farm-to-table to barbecue, and your choice must come from our preferred list.

May I bring my own Alcohol?
Yes, our couples buy their own alcohol (beer, wine, and liquor or all permitted), and it must be served by your licensed caterer.

Are there taxes or additional fees on top of the rental fee?
We require a refundable security deposit of $1,000 and that you purchase property-related liability insurance (cost is about $300 for the weekend). A cleaning fee is also added to single day packages as needed based on amenities added. There are no taxes or other additional fees.

Does Tranquility Farm have Parking?
Yes, we have plenty of parking in a large field near the silo. We do recommend valet parking for large groups, as a courtesy to your guests. Guests should be advised that they will be at a farm with gravel roads. 

What other Transportation options are available?
We recommend several shuttle companies to transport your guests safely to and from the farm. Please note Uber and Lyft are not reliable in our area.

How many events do you hold in one day?
We host only one celebration per weekend or per day. The farm is yours to celebrate in complete privacy.

Is your building handicap accessible?
The barn is accessible via the ramp, and guests can also be driven to any of our outdoor ceremony sites.

Can I have real candles?
We do not allow real candles in the Antique Barn due to fire risk, but LED votives are very pretty. Real candles are perfectly fine under the reception tent.

Can I have a sparkler exit?
Yes! We do allow sparklers on the property.

Do you give a discount to members of the military or any other discount?
Yes. We support the military, law enforcement, fire fighters and first responders, and offer a $500 discount to those actively serving.

Does Tranquility Farm have Horses?
Our lovely horses live on property and move between Tranquility and Otium. We do not guarantee horses will be onsite the day or weekend of your event, but please let us know if this is something you are interested in. We also allow couples to bring their horse if preferred, but all care must be provided by you.

How do I reserve Tranquility Farm for my wedding?
The farm can be reserved with a signed contract and payment of the deposit, which is half of the total fee. This can be done in person or arranged by phone or email.
